Experience the White House in Miniature
One of the world's greatest miniature houses marks its triumphant return to Minnesota as part of CivicFest, a non-partisan event celebrating our country's political history, democracy and Minnesota statehood.
More than 20 hand-crafted rooms make up this 60- by 20-foot, one-foot-to-one-inch exact scale replica of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, offering visitors an exclusive inside look at America's most famous house.
Tiny, working televisions, ringing telephones and hand-carved chairs and tables bring this working miniature replica to life. From the Oval Office to Lincoln's Bedroom, the White House in Miniature represents more than 200 years of American history, spanning 43 presidents. A former Smithsonian Institution exhibit, the White House in Miniature is widely recognized for painstaking craftsmanship and precise detail. The "White House" is just one of over 35 world-class, museum-quality exhibits on display at CivicFest, held in conjunction with the Republican National Convention. This unique presentation transforms the Minneapolis Convention Center into an entertaining and informative showcase of American history and civic life.
